I know this is really kinda nerdy of me, but I wanted to spread the good word.
This guy I met last year is the head of the
Spirit Bear Youth Coalition which is trying to save the Spirit Bear ( a white sub-species of black bear found only in BC) by preserving the island they live on from logging.
Anywho, as part of his campaign, they're actually making a full-length animated film - CGI I believe. They've got some big names on board, including producers from movies like
The Lion King and
The Little Mermaid. So the idea of this movie is to put back a portion of the profits into securing the rest of the Spirit Bear habitat.
So I just wanted to point it out, and I think it's also amazing because Simon - the dude I know who's heading all of this, is only 22! Wish I was organizing my first Hollywood film by next year.
Anyway, check out the site if you like - the movie is still in development stages, but the site will allow people to watch it develop from the beginning - kinda a neat process to see.

So whenever it comes out, I've decided to see it like three times openning weekend.
Oh yeah, and he's also trying to get Vancouver to have the Spirit Bear as the Olympic Mascot in 2010, which would be pretty awesome. He's a good dude.
