Here cums 2005

Hey there honkeys! Haha, well, mostly Kerri I guess. Hi Kerri!
Since I have a blog of my own that I use to record writings and musings for my little story, I'm gonna use this one more like a journal. I think the rest of you should feel free to use it in such a way as well, while minding the fact that anybody could read it or cut you down for it.

MIRACLE ON BIRCH STREET
This Christmas was very nice albeit a little odd since it was the first one in LIVING MEMORY that I had no real vacation to bookend it. Normally school and exams end for at least 2 weeks so that I can gear up for the festivities. I keep telling myself that not having any obligations to anyone else but myself for three months this past fall should be enough but I couldn't help but feel Christmas came too fast! Remember how last year I came home for a week for LOTR:ROTK DAY and then went back to Ottawa for one more exam? Then I bussed it home?? HAHAH. That was so crazy. I will never forget that Greyhound ride home.
I've kinda been spending more money than I should lately, especially with all the shopping after Boxing Day. Kerri got a video camera! I got a 120 GB harddrive and a stick of 512 RAM. My sister offered to help me pay for a digicam since my/Court's birthday is coming up so maybe I'll get that this week.

OH YEAH THE SUBARU IS GONE FOREVER
It got hit on the front corner and there's a lot of critical things in there so it's too expensive to repair it for the car that it is. My dad got the little Honda Prelude running so when Cheryl leaves I get her car again thank goodness. I don't know what Garrett's gonna do about it though!
I'm at work right now. I'm alone for two days so I'll prolly be back with more posts. As you can see I changed the layout. I picked a template and then editted it so we could have a wintery background that I just made for my message boards (http://www.aceofbase.org/thb). Still no monitor. Here's a joke:

A tour bus driver drives with a bus full of seniors down a highway, when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady. She offers him a handfull of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up. After approx.15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts. She repeats this gesture about eight times. At the ninth time he asks the little old lady why they do not eat the peanuts themselves, where upon she replies that it is not possible because of their old teeth, they are not able to chew them. "Why do you buy them then?" he asks puzzled. Where upon the old lady answers, 'We just love the chocolate around them.

YOU MAY THINK YOU KNOW, BUT YOU HAVE NO IDEA: THIS IS THE ART DIARY OF JAMES UGRAY

Kerri and Pepper know what this is. In one of our Ms. Walker art years, we had to make a journal of our independant study progress. I remember Kerri and I made fancy ones, I can't remember what other people did. But here's some entries from mine (we were such asses in the class sometimes!).

The cover of mine says "JAMES' DIARY" in fancy writing, and then below that I used a stencil to spell out: "»ART~time!?«" hahaha.

Day One (25 Feb. 2002): Dear Diary, nothing done. [Ms. Walker put a check mark next to this, hahaha.]
Day Three (27 Feb.): Dear Diary, I made you today.
Day whatever (8 March): Dear Diary, I nearly forgot my border [we were doing lino block printing], ha! ha! ha! Silly me. So I made it.
(9-10 March): Nothing done on weekend. [Checkmark!]
(19 March): Dear Diary, AGH! I worked up a sweat today trying to print-->crappy results. [Checkmark!]

Now the next set of entries were for my pencil crayon drawing of that scene from my little stories with the fat little toad people gathering near a big grey tree. (Pictured here.)

12 April: Lots of colouring over the weekend. I'm burnishing, so my arm REALLY hurts after like, 5 minutes.
15 April: Colouring. This seems to be what I'll be doing until I present. [Ms Walker's comments: "no kidding"] hahahaah

I got 10 out of 10 on my journal but she noted how I had a lot of unproductive days and that those caused each of my works to be late. hahaha OH MS. WALKER! Here's a recent sketch that I did that has the same character in it:

Sunday, December 12

I wanna be like Santa and see you when you're sleeping....

Hallo there my little elves!

Here are some of the movies I want to see this holiday:

Ocean's 12
Blade Trinity
Meet The Fockers

But of course the big film this season once again is LOTR!

Because I work this Tuesday until like 6, I was thinking of taping AMAZING RACE and maybe we could watch the EE Tuesday night? It seems like it'll almost be impossible for me to have time for a whole marathon, especially since I've been coming in on the weekends the past two weeks. Post your ideas!

I would say Wednesday to watch it, but I've got Volleyball which I've missed ever since Alexander and I really wanna go back.
