JAMES' 2005 INTERNATIONAL PHOTOQUEST (For Kerri)
Each photo challenge must be a photo wherein the target occupies no less than 5% of the frame.
IRISH GAELIC (I may have gotten the stress accents wrong):
Conas tá tú? (How are you?)
Pronounced: "Connass atah too?"
Ta me go braith. (I am [going] fine.) OR "Go maith" (I am well.)
Pronounced: "Tah may go brah." OR "Go'mah"
Go raibh maith agat. (Thank you.)
Pronounced: "Gora magutt."
Slan. (Goodbye).
Pronounced: "Slawn." Our prof would say "Shlawn" but she would also call the letter H "haytch".
I'm not sure what dialect we learned but our teacher wouldn't stop talking about Dublin so maybe that's the proper region. Oh and Dublin's Irish name is mBaile Átha Cliath, pronounced "mmBala hacleeya". Oh man if you see a sign with mBaile Átha Cliath on it snap that.
GOOD LUCK!!!11
Each photo challenge must be a photo wherein the target occupies no less than 5% of the frame.
CHALLENGE 1: Photo of an English pigeon. Bonus point for pigeon poo being in the frame. Bonus point if the pigeons and pigeon shit are on or near a GARGOYLE.
CHALLENGE 2: A photo of a street person. Bonus point if that person makes their living exchanging pleasure for money. (The dirtier the better! A Londonite hobo is preferred).
CHALLENGE 3: A photo containing on a sign or post the word "OXFORD". "OXFORD" can appear with any other words.
CHALLENGE 4: A photo containing only one of the towers on Tower Bridge. Bonus point if the composition of the photograph makes it appear as though the picture was taken accidentally (play with angles, focus).
CHALLENGE 5: A photo of yourself, KERRI, near one of the LONDON UNDERGROUND signs.
CHALLENGE 6: A duck. Or any waterfowl. Bonus point if this is in IRELAND.
CHALLENGE 7: A London police officer, bonus point if the officer is wearing a bright green vest. If he or she is on a horse, that is ALL THE BETTER.
BONUS CHALLENGE: If in Ireland you see either a Leprechaun or a Corr, photograph/capture it and bring it to me.
