My last days of youth

Well since it's my birthday tomorrow, I figured I'd log a blog to commemorate the end of the beginning. It's all downhill after 21 - cuz up until then you're still kinda considered a youth, whereas now I'm just gonna be a young adult. But what's awesome is that I'm not experiencing the usual angst that has accompanied my past few birthdays. Turning 20 was brutal, I thought I was gonna die, and 21 was no better. I think that since I've past all the big milestone birthdays though, birthdays are just gonna be a little blip on the radar until the big 3-0 comes around, at which time I will probably drop dead instantly.

Other news? Had a fun time yesterday booking hotels in London instead of studying for Greek!!! We all got a room for the night of the 14th to stay in London, which is gonna be awesome, cuz that allows us to enjoy the london nightlife without worrying about getting back into Harlow in the middle of the night. It's not a really fancy hotel, but it's in a good location, so that was more important, plus we're vacationing on a budget, so fancy isn't really an option.

We were also gonna reserve spots on the Stonehenge/Bath/Salisbury Cathedral tour last night, but Kyllie had to leave early, so we're gonna do that some other time - but it does look like it's a for sure deal, so that's promising.

Other things we were trying to arrange last night include perhaps going to see a Premiere League Football (Soccer) game, since Matt and Daryl are big fans, and possibly staying a second night in London later in the week, depending on the subtotal for the trip so far.

Festivities for tomorrow? Well so far here's the schedule - Grandfolks are comin' around 6 for cake, then we're gonna eat after they leave, probably something fun like pizza, and then there should be ample time for perhaps some foose, or some Trivial Pursuit if ppl are in the mood - or maybe "Scene It", cuz we got that for Christmas, and haven't played it yet - I bet anyone could beat me at that game, because as many movies as I see, I never really remember names of actors, or directors, or years etc. It could be fun though. So that's the tentative itenerary.

In regards to the Club going downhill (I almost forgot that I wanted to address this briefly), if there were any movie viewings during the holidays, I certainly wasn't informed of them - so not even being given the chance to say no doesn't really make for a strong argument for blaming the demise on anyone. I think James told me of a few films he wanted to see with Geoff, non of which were high on my list, except Finding Neverland, which was an impromptu thing, so there was no invite (no hard feelings). But all this can change with the upcoming Phantom of the Opera, set to open January 21. Mark it in your calendars. And I like the new format - it's seasonal, and pretty.

That's all folks

Kerri
